Coach Katrina

I am a Pain-Free Performance Specialist committed to helping you optimize your fitness and performance, even when faced with common pain, dysfunction, or injury. With over 20 years of experience with strength training & conditioning, I help you develop personalized strategies that prioritize your health and well-being.

While my expertise lies with clients recovering from surgery, injuries, or managing chronic illnesses, I also work with athletes—whether competitive or weekend warriors—seeking to enhance their sports performance. Additionally, I support individuals competing in powerlifting or bodybuilding competitions, as well as normal folks seeking to live a healthy life by prioritizing weight lifting.

I actively participate in local biking races, recently earning 3rd place at the Sturgis Mountain Bike Race Series. I have competed in Spartan obstacle course races, frequently placing in the top 10, and powerlifting competitions where I have set state records and most recently won first place at the 2024 Cloud Peak Classic deadlifting competition in Sheridan, Wyoming.

I live in Spearfish, SD, am fueled by plants, love anything outdoors, and am routinely involved with local community theatre as a director, choreographer, and actor. As a lifelong dancer, I understand the importance of balancing strength with mobility and flexibility. If I’m not at the gym or on an outdoor adventure, you’ll find me immersed in a good book or enjoying live music.

Katrina is a lifelong dancer who discovered her passion for strength training at 19. She challenges her clients and consistently surprises them by revealing their true lifting potential. She strongly dislike the phrase “No pain, no gain” because it wrongly suggests pain is needed for progress.
